February Wrap-Up

Hey guys! I’m back from a long break, and hopefully I can get back to regularly scheduled blog posts. So today I thought I’d jump on here and tell you the books I read in Feb!

February definitely wasn’t as reading heavy as January, but I still had a good time. I know this is going up a little late and I’m sorry, but I’ve literally had no other time to write this wrap up.

So let’s get going!

1. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Rating: 5 stars

This book was so good. I mean, of course it wasn’t as good as Six of Crows, but it was still epic. My favourite character by far was Genya. Man, I just love her so much. If anything happens to her, I swear I’ll sue. I know that this did feel like a first novel written by Leigh, but it didn’t hinder my enjoyment at all. I gave this book five stars and I can’t wait to read Siege And Storm. I also have a review for this book, so click here if you want to check it out.

2. Heartstopper by Alice Oseman

Rating: 4 stars

This was such a cute graphic novel, and I loved it a whole darn lot. I had no idea there would be a major cliffhanger though!?!? Like, wtf! I actually reread this book this month, and I still love it. I can’t wait for the next volume to come out, so I know what happens next. I have been reading the comic on Tapas, but now I’m all caught up and I NEED the rest right NOW. But seriously, read this book, it’s so cute and I love it.

3. My Plain Jane by The Lady Janies

Rating: 4 stars

I really liked this book, and I’m very happy about it. I loved My Lady Jane, and I was hoping that this book wasn’t going to be terrible. I haven’t read Jane Eyre, but I really don’t think you need to because I wasn’t confused at all. This book was funny, full of action and sprinkled with some cute romance. I loved all the references (that Harry potter one omg) and the Jane and G cameo was the best thing in the world. I felt so happy when they showed up, and I don’t even know why. Such a great book, and I highly recommend it.

4. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Rating: 4 stars

Yes, I finally read The Hate U Give. I recently joined a book club and this was the first book we had to read, so it finally gave me a chance to read it. And I did really enjoy it. I liked the family aspect and everything, and I did want to keep reading. At the book club, we discussed a lot of things about this book, which actually made my liking of this book grow, so that was good. It wasn’t astounding to me, but it was still a good read.
