Hey guys! Today I’ll be showing you my September TBR. I’ve had an awesome reading month this month, and I hope it’ll carry onto next month too. I’m not counting on it though, since school is starting back, and I won’t have much time for anything else. But I want to read at least four books, then I’ll be happy.
Let’s get to the TBR!
1. Been Here All Along by Sandy Hall
I’ve had this book on my Goodreads TBR shelf for a while, and I found it at the library one day, so I decided to pick it up. This book sounds really cool and cute, and it’s also pretty short, so I’ll be able to get through it quicker. It’s basically a dual-perspective book about a boy called Gideon who’s falling in love with his neighbour Kyle, and about Kyle’s life and how it’s changing. I just hope I’ll have a brand new ship after this.
2. The Gilded King by Josie Jaffrey
I was sent this book by the author, which was so super exciting. This book is the first ever physical book that has been sent to me because of my blog. So, I plan to get to this next month, since that is when she’d like a review. I think this book sounds really interesting, and I hope I like it as much as I think I will. And this is the first book in a series, so maybe I’ll pick up the next books when they come out. I’m also thinking of annotating this book, since I want a really concise review to put up on Goodreads and Amazon and places like that. And can I also say how much I love the cover? It’s so pretty, and I can’t wait to read it.
3. Percy Jackson and The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan
I’m finally getting back on board the Percy Jackson train. I read The Lightning Thief last year, and the Sea of Monsters this month (I’m around halfway through but I’ll have it finished by the end of the month), and basically my goal is to have the Percy Jackson series finished by the end of the year. It won’t be a hard challenge to complete, since these books are so fast-paced and fun. I basically just want to read the Trials of Apollo series, so that is my end point. It’ll definitely take a while to get there, but (I hope) it will be worth it.
4. Clean by Juno Dawson
I picked this up at the library the same time I picked up Been Here All Along, and I can’t wait to get to it. I remember when a sampler of this was on Netgalley, and it really intrigued me. I’ve heard that Juno Dawson is a really good writer, and this is the first book of hers that I’ll read, so hopefully she’s as good as everyone says. This book is about a girl who is a drug addict going into rehab and while I can relate to absolutely none of that, I think it’ll still be a good book. Plus its cover is shiny and rose-gold in person, which is the dream.
5. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I have to read this for school, and while I do want to read it, I just have so many other things I want to read more. But this is required reading, so I want to get at least halfway through the book by the end of September. I’m not planning on reading the whole book next month, since I’ll have to do analyses and stuff like that, but I do want to read quite a chunk of it. I’ve read and watched quite a lot of Pride and Prejudice adaptations and retellings, so I hope the source material is just as good.
So those are the books I want to read next month. Please tell me in the comments below what books you’re planning on reading, and I’ll see you very soon. Bye!
