Hello everyone! So the time has finally come. Booktubeathon is starting tomorrow. I’m so excited! Booktubeathon is a week-long readathon where you complete reading challenges in order to read seven books. There are video and Instagram challenges and twitter sprints and if you read seven books during the readathon, you get to download a certificate from the Booktubeathon website.
I’m not sure if I actually want to vlog my reading, since it is called BookTUBEathon, and is mostly focused around Youtube. I might vlog, but don’t get your hopes up. I might just come back here in a week and tell you how it all went.
Well, without further ado, it’s time to show you my TBR!
1. Let a coin toss decide your first read
I’m actually changing up this question to let a coin toss decide one of your reads, because I’m falling behind on my library books, so I already have my first read sorted. So this challenge is going to pick one of my reads, whenever I do read it. I have two contenders for this challenge, and both of them I want to read. I have my coin here, heads for Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour, and tails for People Like Us. Time to flip! Heads! Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour will be one of the books that I’ll be reading!
2. Read a book about something you want to do
When I was young, I wanted to be a detective so bad. I had this book about spycraft and detection, I had detective kits, and I actually wrote a short story about a detective who had to solve clues to find a missing diamond. So I think this book will be perfect to read. I’ve also started this book already, because it’s due back to the library on the first of August, so this will be my first read.
3. Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation
Okay, I’m kind of cheating on this, because this book doesn’t have an actual movie adaptation, but there are a multitude of Sherlock adaptations. So I think what I’m going to do is read this book and then watch a few episodes of Sherlock, since I have the box set of the first two seasons.
4. Read a book with green on the cover
Can you see a pattern happening with the books I’m going to read? This book is the second book in the Study in Charlotte series, and my pick for this challenge. As you can see, this book has a lot of green on the cover, and I can’t wait to binge read the series.
5. Read a book while wearing the same hat the whole time
I have a few hats I could use, but if I’m doing this challenge, I’m going all out. I’m planning on wearing a stereotypical cowboy hat while reading Meet Cute. I was supposed to read Meet Cute during the 7 in 7 readathon, but things got in the way, and I didn’t get to it, but hopefully I can now. This book is just a bunch of short stories about people meeting for the first time and having a romantic attraction. I think it sounds very cute, and I think I’ll read a few stories each day to break apart my reading.
6. Read a book with a beautiful spine
I read the first book this month, and I really enjoyed it. It was the perfect blend of cute and funny, and it was the perfect Summer read. So I want to read the second one for this challenge, because I want to know what happens next with Lara Jean and Peter. And it also has a really pretty spine. The spine is a very pretty light blue, and has the title of the book in nice white swirly handwriting, like on the cover.
7. Read seven books
And here is the conclusion to the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. I also want to get to this because I want to know what happens in the end. I hope it’s a cute ending, whether Lara Jean ends up with Peter or not. I just want the ending to be a happy one.
So that is my Booktubeathon TBR! I know I’m not going to get to even half of these books, but I hope I can get to a few. I wish you all the best for your reading during this ‘thon, and I’d love to know if you’re participating, and what books you’re planning on reading. I hope you have a great day and I’ll see you very soon. Bye!
