Doctor Who Book Tag | AKA the best show ever

Hey guys! So I love Doctor Who. Like a lot. I’ve watched every episode from The Ninth Doctor to now multiple times, and even a few before Christopher Eccleston. I was a bit disappointed when the newest doctor was revealed, because I had my heart set on Idris Elba being the new Doctor, but I am pretty excited to see what Jodie Whittaker does with the role.

So today I’m going to be doing the Doctor Who Book Tag. This tag was created by Becomingbookish and I found out about it on Bookish Queen Blog . So let’s get to the questions!

1. The Classics – A classic book that still fits into YA literature

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I actually haven’t read that many classic books, so this was actually quite easy. I picked for this question The Giver by Lois Lowry. I read this book back in 2015 and I absolutely loved it. I think it was actually my favourite book of that year. I actually can’t remember much of what it is about, but just know that I loved it and read it in a day (which never happens!). I recommend everyone reads it, and if you love it, there’s also a movie! I haven’t seen the movie yet, but maybe I will soon!

2. The Ninth Doctor – A book you feel is very underrated

neilflambe

Rating: honestly can’t remember

I read this book when I was really young back in Australia, and I loved this and the series. This book is definitely underrated, and I haven’t seen it anywhere. This book is about a 14-year-old chef who solves murders. And that’s about as much as I can remember. I really want to read it again, but none of the books are at my library, and they are so expensive on amazon *weeps a little*.

3. David Tennant – A book or series that was hard to say goodbye to when it ended

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I haven’t finished many, or any series in my life (I’m ridiculous, I know), but I feel like when I finish The Miss Peregrines series, It’ll be very sad to say goodbye to. And I know that there’s going to be more books coming out, but tbh I’m scared to read them. I JUST WANT MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BABIES TO BE OKAY.

Also, I absolutely loved Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children. I really want to reread it soon, because I haven’t actually read Library of Souls, and I want to do a big binge read of the series.

4. Matt Smith – A book that made you smile

30653853

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Matt Smith was my favourite Doctor, and my favourite moments of the show was when it was him, Amy, Rory and River. And a book that made me smile is definitely The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I smiled, squealed and basically fangirled when I read this book. It was just a great read. Also (self-promo) I have a review of this book, so click here if you want to see it!

5. Rose and Ten – One of your ships that never sailed

17167166

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I feel like I’m kind of cheating with this one, but it was a ship that didn’t sail! So I loved Celeaena and Chaol together and I felt like it was perfect, but as some of you may know (SPOILERRRRRRRRR), they don’t stay together. But then I read Heir of Fire and Queen Of Shadows, and I love Rowan even more!

6. Weeping Angel – A book that you blinked and it was over

I actually can’t think of anything for this question, sorry!

7. Daleks – A book you want to exterminate

caraval

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I actually don’t want to exterminate any books, because I don’t have any books that I absolutely hate. But I will day that if I could, I will definitely exterminate the two sisters in Caraval. But I am not a murderer, soo.

8. Bowties are cool! – A bandwagon you jumped on early

geekerella.jpg

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I want to say Geekerella, but I don’t actually know. I always jump onto the bandwagon around five years after everyone’s read it, so I think Geekerella is the only book I can say for this question.

And btw, I loved Geekerella. It was so good and geeky and I loved Elle and Darien. LOOK TO THE STARS. AIM. IGNITE.

9. Run you clever boy, and remember… – A book with an awesome plot twist that you didn’t see coming

28107168

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Thornhill had a huge plot twist I didn’t see coming. Actually it had around three. So I think this definitely counts for this question! I really liked Thornhill, and I also wrote a review of it, so if you want to see that, it’s here . It’s very like  Marcus Zusak’s books, since it combines writing and drawings.

10. Raxacoricofallapatorious – A book with hard to pronounce names or titles

throneofglass

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I mean, how can I not mention Throne of Glass again. All of those names are just so difficult to say. I mean, come on Sarah J Maas, Chaol? Celaena? Manon?

11. The T.A.R.D.I.S – A book that took you back in time

missperegrines

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Well look at me, doubling up again. But Jacob literally goes back in time so how could I not say this book. I really want to go through a loop, but since they’re not real, I have to read about them. Which is still cool, but I want all these characters to be real!

So that is all the questions in this tag. I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you soon, bye!
